Add ARTIC to your device home screen for full-screen offline use.
Not in the App Store or Google Play Store. Android: download the free APK below. iOS: use Add to Home Screen (Homicon).

Android — native app (free download)
Install the ARTIC Android APK for full-screen use and USB tachograph card reader support (OTG). Free at the moment — not on Google Play.
- Tap Download ARTIC Android app above (or open ARTIC-install.apk).
- When the download finishes, open the file and tap Install. Allow installs from your browser or Files app if Android asks (Settings → Security).
- Launch ARTIC from your app drawer — sign in to your ARTIC account.
- Driver card (USB) — plug a CCID reader via OTG when it arrives, or use Import .ddd file.
Prefer a home-screen web app instead? Use the Chrome PWA steps below — no APK required.
Android — Chrome (PWA / Homicon)
- Open this page in Chrome on your Android phone or tablet.
- Tap the menu (⋮) → Add to Home screen or Install app.
- Confirm the name ARTIC and tap Add.
- Launch ARTIC from your home screen — logging works offline after the first load.
- Driver card — tap Import .ddd file (recommended). USB CCID readers via OTG may work in Chrome but are often blocked; Tachogram reader (B07JW8PV85) needs the Tachogram app — export .ddd for ARTIC.
Use the installed Homicon, not a browser bookmark — bookmarks do not get offline cache or full-screen mode.
iPad / iPhone — Safari
- Open ARTIC in Safari (this page or the main app).
- Tap the Share button in the toolbar.
- Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the name ARTIC and tap Add.
- Launch ARTIC from your home screen — connection check runs on first open.
- Driver card — tap Import .ddd file (save export to Files first). Tachogram iOS reader (B09DZ1WMBS) works only in the Tachogram app, not in Safari.
Also install Trimble CoPilot Truck separately from the App Store for HGV navigation (ARTIC itself is not a store app).
Desktop — Chrome / Edge
- Open the main app in Chrome or Edge.
- Use the install icon in the address bar, or menu → Install ARTIC.
- Read driver card (USB) — Identiv uTrust 2700R or ACS ACR39U CCID via WebUSB. Windows may need WinUSB (Zadig) if PC/SC blocks the reader.
- Import .ddd file — works on all platforms. Export from your tachograph download tool.
Card reader hardware (Amazon UK)

How to use card reader — card reader only (IF GAZ app, ACS ACR39U-NF, USB sync & .ddd import).
- Identiv uTrust 2700R / ACS ACR39U — CCID USB readers for desktop Chrome/Edge (Android OTG experimental; Chrome may block CCID class).
- Tachogram Android — ASIN B07JW8PV85 — native Tachogram app only; export .ddd for ARTIC.
- Tachogram iOS (FeiTian) — ASIN B09DZ1WMBS — MFi reader; Tachogram app only; export .ddd for ARTIC.
- BLE tachograph readers — not supported in browser; native app or .ddd import required.
Browser only (not recommended)
You can open ARTIC in a browser tab, but duty data may not persist reliably and you will not get the full offline shell. Always install via Add to Home Screen for cab use.
